About the Author Jochen Kieninger Scientist // Engineer // Lecturer
Dr. Ing. Jochen Kieninger studied Microsystems Engineering and wrote his Ph. D. thesis on “Electrochemical Microsensor System for Cell Culture Monitoring.” He is a Senior Scientist and Lecturer in the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) at the University of Freiburg ), where he teaches electrochemical methods, BioMEMS, and sensor technology for environmental monitoring.
The author’s current research interests comprise electrochemical sensors, biosensors, microsensors for neurotechnology, environmental monitoring, corrosion monitoring, metabolic monitoring in organ-on-chip systems, and electrochemical methods for MEMS applications.
